Attorney Founder Gabriel Albu was keynote speaker as well as American attorneys Jon May and Marc Raspanti at WOLEP – “World Online Lawyers with Excellent Practice” Webinar, adressing topics such as: how whistleblowers are viewed in the US and the EU, how is changing things the movement toward greater whistleblower protections in the EU, what kind of programs that reward whistleblowers are in the US.

In conclusion:

o   Major developments expected – in matters of MS legislation, implementation and applicability. Adopted by the Romanian Parliament, WS legislation not yet in force – pending promulgation by the President and publication in the Official Journal;
o   Waiting for first resounding EU examples, following the strengthening of whistleblowers’ legal standing;
o  Additional cooperation between EU and US lawyers in order to provide their clients the best way to report and protect themselves – or even be entitled to compensations and/or rewards.
