Invited to attend a panel discussion, our colleague Mihai Morar emphasized a particularly interesting issue, underlining the broad context that comes to sanction acts of non-reporting/ failure to report to judicial bodies in the event that natural or legal persons find out about the execution of a criminal act.
The complex character of the situation results from the many existing criminal norms and their extensive application, including in relation to private entities/servants. At the same time, he also referred to the role of specialized lawyers in determining those situations that give rise to the obligation to notify the judicial bodies, while protecting people from being exposed to an accusation of misleading the judicial bodies.
During the same Conference, Mihai Morar also received the “Prospect of White-Collar Crime Law” distinction awarded by the Romanian Journal of White-Collar Crime.
Mihai, congratulations for the distinction and thanks to Editura Universul Juridic for the invitation and the opportunity to debate this topic.
