We are proud to announce the launch of The Romanian White Collar Crime Association, a platform that aims to contribute to the development of this practice area and to establishing a healthy business environment in Romania.
The new entity was founded by reputable professionals in this practice area, to advance White-Collar Crime as a sub-branch of Business Law, to educate and promote a culture of prevention and a healthy business environment, in the context of an increasingly dynamic and sophisticated economic phenomenon.
Attorney Gabriel Albu, Managing Partner Albu Morar, is among the founding members of ARDPA, along with highly reputable professionals in the field: Prof. Mihai Adrian Hotca, atty. Mihai MAREŞ, Prof. Norel Neagu and atty. Augustin Zabrautanu.
A topic on the ARDPA agenda is the promotion of digitization, Artificial Intelligence and new IT technologies and cooperation with national and international organizations, as the incidence of cybercrimes is continuously evolving, having a significant share of the total number of crimes committed both at national and regional/European level.
ARDPA will also provide a platform for debates, connecting various legal professions (judges, prosecutors, lawyers, police, legal advisors, specialists, experts, legal/compliance/audit and internal investigation staff from corporations etc.).
“We want to be involved in developing this practice area, so that we bring our experience towards advancing it, so that all those interested may appropriately face the increasing number of challenges in this field. We would like to bring our contribution for a healthier and more compliant business environment and I would welcome more local entrepreneurs to better understand the need for criminal risk prevention. We would like to contribute to creating a risk prevention culture in the local business environment and together we are stronger in doing so”, said Gabriel Albu, Managing Partner of Albu Morar, a white-collar crime specialized law firm.
